My Contingency Plans

What could go wrong during production	How are you going to avoid this issue? What’s your back up plan?
Losing work as network space corrupts	Have back-up documents on separate memory sticks or save a copy on my laptop at home.
Certain documents becoming corrupted	Again have back-ups of the work by saving the files onto memory sticks or my laptop.
Computer crashes after doing work	Make sure to save regularly (e.g. every 10 minutes) and if it does then make sure to catch the work up as quickly as possible.
Model doesn’t turn up for photo shoot/ model turns up in wrong outfit for photo shoot	Ensure that model is constantly reminded of the date and time of photo shoot or have back-up models ready. For costume provide the model with the costume or again continuously remind the model of the requirements.
Memory sticks getting lost	Don’t use memory sticks to save work or keep them in a safe place where they won’t be lost. Possibly keep multiple memory sticks with documents on.
Photo’s appearing out of focus	Check each photo after doing or each series of photos for blurriness and re-focus camera if necessary. Always check the focus before taking photos
Props going missing	Have back-up props to replace the missing ones. Have simplistic props that can easily be found and replaced if necessary.
Photos taking too much time to set up	Make sure the model is briefed of what they will need to do and the pose they will need to do before going to the shoot. If necessary just take a lot of photos of the same pose and pick the best.
Equipment failure	Find alternative computers if yours fails or work from home if I have the software to do so. If not work on any free periods that exist. I will be using my own camera this year so I will use a college camera if it decides not to work.
Photos not up to desired standard	If the photoshoots do not go to plan then if I have the time I could set up alternative photoshoots that would give me the opportunity to re-take any bad phtotos and if that fails I shall use photoshop to edit photos to a high standard.
Double page spreads don’t turn out right.	I could create contingency designs for my double page spreads that would be used if my original layouts don’t work. This would be used used during production and it may be useful to keep track of changes I make over the production period.
